The English Premier League (EPL) 2023-24 has been one of the toughest leagues in the world. The league has been called one of the toughest for the reason that even the bottom side in the league table can shock the league leader or the best sides. The PL over the years have kept the quality of the games played with the ability of the players to play in one of the top leagues of the world. 

However the games have always been shifted towards the strikers and wingers as they carry their team on their back with their creativity and goal scoring abilities throughout their career. Though the defensive task is also important for the clubs in a long term league like PL. There have been some world class strikers that have been the part of some of the best clubs in England and made their names for them and carried their clubs as well. 

There have been certain players from different countries except the English nationality who have created havoc among defenders by coming into the PL, despite that the English strikers have always been on top in the goal scoring sheets. 4. Alan Shearer- 47

Alan Shearer is a name that will be remembered forever by the English football fans. The former Newcastle United striker is the highest goal scorer of the Premier League history with 260 goals beside his name as the forward has been one of the most fierceful strikers of the ball and was clinical with his finishing as well. He in his first two seasons scored 47 goals for Blackburn Rovers. 

3. Ruud van Nistelrooy- 48 

Ruud van Nistelrooy was one of the finest Dutch strikers of his generation. The former Manchester United striker was a fox in the box and scored a lot of goals for the Red Devils scoring 95 goals in 150 appearances for the club and in his first two seasons he scored 48 times becoming the top goal scorer in the second season with the club. 

2. Andy Cole- 55 

The English striker was one of the finest of his generation and turned out to be one of the best strikers to ever play in the league. Cole in his first season with Newcastle United was the highest goal scorer in the league with 34 goals. In his second season he scored 21 goals and became the 2nd most goalscorer in the league after the first two seasons. He went to score 93 goals for the Red Devils where his career peaked as he appeared 195 times for the club. 

1. Erling Haaland- 56 

Erling Haaland is one of the finest goal scorers of this generation. The Norwegian has been Manchester City’s best player since arrival last season and helped them win the UEFA Champions League. He is currently the leading goal scorer in the league as well. However he also leads the of scoring most goals after two seasons with 56 goals.
