Manchester City will be up against West Ham United on Sunday for the final match-week of the English Premier League. The Sky Blues are up for the title race for the ongoing season and will make history if they win it on the 19th, by achieving the rare feat of winning four consecutive PL titles for the first time in the history of the game. They have been one of the most consistent sides in the league since the start of 2024.

Phil Foden has been one of the most important factors for the side in the league. The English winger has been amazing in the season and carried his team alone in the absence of Eling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne. The 23-year-old footballer has played in 51 games across all competitions for the side and provided with 11 assists. In a game 4-0 win against Brighton in April he scored a brace of goals to reach 50 PL goals for the club.

The academy graduate has been used in different positions on the field sometimes in the wing and sometimes playing right behind the centre forward. Foden has scored 13 goals in the season from open play the fourth most in the league. The winger is 6th in the list for the most chances created from open play, as he is not only a prolific goal scorer but also has been a playmaker for the side.

Phil Foden has been a rising star for England

He has scored some important goals this season and has scored two hattricks in the season the most by any player in the current season against Aston Villa and Brentford. On Sunday against the game with West Ham United he will be a crucial figure for the side in scoring goals or creating chances.

With Euros 2024 just a month away he will be a player to watch for in Germany and a key member for England as well. Previously he won the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year award. If they win the PL 2023/24 the side will be winning their 7th overall league title in the last decade.
