Serra reportedly moved back to Barcelona in 2019, leaving Manchester with one of their children to focus on managing her fashion company. After that, she kept switching between the Spanish city and London, and although they stayed in touch, Guardiola stayed in Manchester for the duration.

The two have now decided to part ways. Guardiola and Serra met in 1994 when she was 20 and he was 23, but they got married only in 2014. Their three children, Maria, Marius, and Valentina, are 24, 22, and 17 years old, respectively.

According to reports, the couple has been living apart for the past six years. Serra has moved between Barcelona and London, while the 53-year-old Premier League coach has been mostly based in Manchester. Guardiola and Serra would frequently get back together for leisure with their kids, to commemorate the head coach's and Manchester City's accomplishments, and on significant family occasions.

Guardiola is one of the most successful managers in football, and Serra has been there for him during the high points of his career. She was in Istanbul in June 2023 when City won the Treble by defeating Inter Milan in the Champions League. In July, the couple went to Wimbledon together as well.

Pep Guardiola hopes that when City plays Brentford this week, all of his attention will be on the field. Right now, they are ranked sixth in the Premier League standings. Despite predictions that he would depart once his previous contract finished, Guardiola committed to staying as manager of City until 2027, when he extended his contract for an additional two years in November.
