Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that he does not wish to "run away" from the task of turning around his team's performance after a six-game losing streak. In their UEFA Champions League match against Feyenoord at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, Guardiola's team blew a three-goal lead after the 75th minute, making things even more difficult for the Premier League winners.

With fifteen minutes left, goals from Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan had put the home team in a commanding lead. However, Feyenoord stunned everyone in the Etihad Stadium to end Manchester City's six-game losing streak. Many have questioned the team's future as they head to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon to play perhaps the best and most talented team in football, with Guardiola once again declaring that he is ready to battle both this season and beyond. "Changing our entire squad? I don't completely agree". "Three months ago we won Premier League, we were in the FA Cup final and we arrived in the Champions League quarter-finals, defeated by playing extraordinary vs Real Madrid".

Prior to Sunday's match against Liverpool at Anfield, Pep Guardiola told reporters on Friday afternoon that he wants the chance to reassemble this Manchester City team and get them back on track and in form. It's unclear how much of a rebuild Pep Guardiola plans to oversee in the upcoming transfer window, as some have suggested that Manchester City should start working on their ailing team during the January window.

Manchester City struggle to find form

After the shocking collapse against Feyenoord and the heartbreaking loss to Tottenham, City's winless streak currently stands at six games. However, Guardiola will be even more driven to make things better, and his choice to extend will be influenced by City's performance. On Sunday afternoon, City will play league leaders Liverpool in an attempt to make amends. If City wins, they will only be five points behind the Reds at the top of the standings; if they lose, they will be 11 points behind them.
