It has been reported that Neymar is on the verge of purchasing his own private island off the coast of Brazil for a staggering £7 million. Despite being sidelined for almost a year due to an ACL injury, the Al-Hilal forward has been actively seeking new properties. According to The Sun, Neymar is nearing the purchase of Japao Private Island, a luxurious tropical retreat situated near the port town of Angra dos Reis.

Why Neymar wants to Buy the island ?

Neymar is said to have expressed interest in purchasing the island after the owner reduced the asking price by over £3m. The six-acre retreat includes a main villa with two master suites, three sea-view bungalows, and a koi fish pond, and can only be accessed by boat or helicopter.

According to Brazilian journalist Leo Dias, Al-Hilal star is planning to test the waters by renting the island for over £40,000 later this month. It's worth noting that Neymar's ex, Bruna Marquezine, has been a guest on the island in the past.

The luxurious retreat, with a capacity for up to 10 guests, is accessible only by boat or helicopter. The helicopter journey from Rio de Janeiro’s International Airport lasts approximately 35 minutes.

The official website of the island portrays it as a distinct world of its own.

About Neymar's Mansion

Neymar has already acquired a six-bedroom mansion with its own helipad, gym, tennis court, and jetty. The property is located an hour's drive east of Angra dos Reis in the idyllic Green Coast resort of Mangaratiba.

The mansion sits on a two-and-a-half acre plot in the exclusive gated estate known as Portobello. In addition to the helipad and jetty, it features a sauna, massage room, spa, and heated jacuzzi. Furthermore, the property includes an underground cellar capable of holding 3,000 bottles of wine.

According to Brazilian outlet Em Off's December 2021 report, the footballer invested over £2.5 million in purchasing a stunning glass-fronted palace situated in a private gated residential estate in the Alphaville area near Sao Paulo.
