Only 48 hours before the Sweden international played versus Fulham on Saturday, The Sun claims that his home was targeted. The forward reported that his Northumberland home had been broken into around 10 o'clock on Thursday night.

The gang reportedly used the rear patio doors to access the property earlier that evening. It's unclear if the 24-year-old's family was present at home when the incident happened. Three miles away, a car that had been abandoned was eventually found, and police verified it was stolen. So yet, there have been no arrests made. Nevertheless, there are rumours that this might have been the work of a group known as the "away days gang," who target the residences of English Premier League players when they are away from home.

After Joelinton's house had been broken into in January, Isak became the latest Toons player who has been raided in as many months. When the Brazilian was present at St. James' Park in January watching his team face defeat to Manchester City, robbers targeted his mansion. Police were immediately called at the Ponteland address, but by the time they arrived, the intruders had left.

English footballers like Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been the target of gangs that want to take advantage of the empty homes that players leave behind after games.

How have Newcastle United been performing on the field?

Isak has been an essential player for Eddie Howe's team on the pitch, and he will play a major role in their quest for European football next campaign. On Saturday, April 13, when Newcastle plays Tottenham Hotspur, he will be participating next.

Despite playing a terrible opening half at Craven Cottage, Newcastle United punished Fulham for failing to score during a smash and grab raid along the Thames. Though it has been a tough season, no one will care how Eddie Howe's team wins by a tiny margin if they make it to Europe. However, he will undoubtedly hold his own in any behind-the-scenes investigation into how awful Newcastle's performance was in the first half.
