Manchester United are looking to sign new Number Nine
Victor Osimhen is said to be interested in joining Manchester United this summer, with negotiations for a €75 million transfer already in progress. Following a horrendous 2024-25 season, United's coach, Ruben Amorim, plans to strengthen the squad and has identified the team's attack as a key area for improvement. To address this, he has created a list of four potential strikers to address the situation.
As per the reports of Footmercato, Osimhen is amongst the four players Amorim is set to onboard. The list also includes Sporting CP's striker Gyokeres.
The Nigerian was touted to join one of the Premier League clubs between Manchester United and Chelsea last summer but ended up being a loanee to Galatasaray due to sour relations between him and Napoli.
Since joining Galatassrey, the Nigerian has been in sublime form having netted 33 goals in 37 matches across club competitions. He has been the propeller behind Galatasaray's unprecedented rise to the top of Turkish league standings.
Manchester United are looking to end the season on a high by bagging silverware. The Red Devils have been very dominant in the UEFA Europa League and are looking good to qualify for the finals having won the first leg of their semifinals against Athletic Club 3-0.
