Dani Olmo, a star player for RB Leipzig, has a release clause worth €60 million (£51.5 million/$65.5 million). According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester City intends to sign Olmo and is aware that it expires on Tuesday. The Premier League champions, Spain, play England during the Euro 2024 final on Sunday night, and the report claims that they plan to trigger Olmo's clause after the tournament.

Olmo could very well replace the departing Kevin De Bruyne at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. The Belgium international is currently heavily associated with a move to Saudi Arabia, and City is reportedly willing to allow that transfer to occur in exchange for a fee of £50 million ($64 million).

In 2023–2024, De Bruyne had an injury-plagued season that resulted in just 26 appearances across all competitions. He did, however, offer 24 goal involvements. In contrast, Olmo played in 25 matches for RB Leipzig, tallying five assists and eight goals. In five matches at UEFA Euro 2024, he has also contributed two assists and three goals. City needs to act fast because Olmo's release clause is about to expire. Leipzig may be able to demand a larger price if they are unable to set it off.

Where is Kevin de Bruyne headed this coming season?

Kevin De Bryune, a star midfielder for Manchester City, has stated that he is willing to consider a financially advantageous transfer to the Saudi Pro League once his deal with the 2023–2024 Premier League winners expires. The Belgian says that a lavish relocation at the conclusion of his career would be the perfect farewell.

In the last several years, Saudi Arabia has made significant changes to the league in an effort to attract European stars. As a result, gulf sides have added players like Neymar, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo. There is currently a second crop of players, including Casemiro of Manchester United, Raphael Varane, and now De Bruyne, who has also been linked to a move to the SPL. Multiple reports state that there is still more room for the star list to grow.
