The nominees for the Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year award 2025 are out. Newcastle United's Alexander Isak and Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister are on the list, while Arsenal's Declan Rice and Chelsea's Cole Palmer were also regarded highly by the players. Experienced players such as Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes also made it to the list.

Salah had a brilliant season with Liverpool, where he was the leading goal-scorer and had the most assists for the 2024-25 season. Bruno Fernandes' nomination could be surprising, as his side finished 15th in the table. However, the experienced player scored 8 goals and had 11 assists to his name. Likewise, Palmer's season with Chelsea was rewarded by the players.

The English had 15 goals and 9 assists to his name in the 2024-25 season for Chelsea, who finished fourth. One of the most impressive players, who got nominated, was Alexander Isak, who had a very good season with Newcastle United. The Swedish scored 23 goals and had 6 assists to his name in their domestic competition.

Alexis Mac Allister and Declan Rice were rewarded for their performances

Mac Allister had a great season with the Arne Slot side, as he had to play out of his position for the majority of the 2024-25 season. Yet, the World Cup-winning star performed well and helped his side win the title. Declan Rice provided a great balance to Arsenal with his presence, considering his role was to strengthen their defense.

He almost came out of the syllabus for many teams, especially for Real Madrid, against whom he displayed a good attacking game. The star player played a key role in Arsenal finishing second in the season. The winners of the award will be announced on August 19 in Manchester, which will be based on the votes within the players' associations.
