Lionel Messi's eldest son, Thiago Messi seen donning Lamine Yamal's jersey

In a video that Messi posted on his Facebook on Sunday, one of his boys, Thiago, was seen riding a bike with Antonella and Messi's youngest son, Ciro, while sporting Yamal's FC Barcelona t-shirt. Earlier on Messi expressed his respect for Yamal and predicted that he is going to be a "prominent" figure in soccer in 2023. 

Yamal was selected Young Player of the Tournament and made the Team of the Tournament after winning the 2024 Euros with Spain. Additionally, he placed eighth overall in the Ballon d'Or ranking, behind Rodri, his colleague from Spain.

Additionally, Yamal has received the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy honor, which Messi also received. The year's top under-21 player will get both awards. Yamal has played in 17 games for Barcelona this season, tallying six goals and dishing out eight assists.

Lamine Yamal wears exclusive Lionel Messi boots during recent match

When FC Barcelona lost to Las Palmas, Lamine Yamal was seen sporting a pair of high-end boots with Lionel Messi's name on them. Fans noticed that the 17-year-old was wearing special footwear with the word "Messi" printed on them when he stepped onto the bench for Saturday's La Liga encounter after suffering an ankle injury. As part of Adidas' Messi +10 promotion, Yamal is one of ten players chosen by Argentina and former FC Barcelona ace Messi to don the apparel.

After missing nearly three weeks of play, Lamine Yamal entered the game late in the half as the Catalan team unexpectedly lost 2-1 to relegation-threatened Las Palmas. After three league games, they have currently earned one point.

With Yamal in their lineup, Hansi Flick's club has performed significantly better; this season, the international player from Spain has five goals and seven assists within La Liga. They have only lost once with him on the team before to Saturday's defeat. When Yamal's squad plays Mallorca in La Liga on Tuesday, he hopes his Messi boots will work some magic.
