Reports state that Kevin de Bruyne has "verbally agreed" to be transferred to Saudi Arabia. The midfielder for Manchester City was eliminated from the Euros on Monday following Belgium's 1-0 loss to France. Representatives of De Bruyne met with members of the Saudi delegated authority, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti. He says there is approval for the trade from De Bruyne's people.

Al-Ittihad along with Manchester City must now decide on a transfer sum. Al-Ittihad, the Jeddah-based team, placed sixth during the Saudi Pro-League season in the previous year.

This week, they also failed in their attempt to appoint Marco Silva, the coach of Fulham, as their next manager.

If De Bruyne, who is 33, is going to sign with the team, he would be joining players like Fabinho, N'Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema. De Bruyne's Manchester City contract is expiring in just one year. Players older than thirty usually do not receive extensions from the club lasting more than a year.

“Once the moment comes, we will have to deal with it” : Kevin de Bruyne

In the past, De Bruyne has been amenable to leaving Manchester City when discussing his future. He said to HLN, a Belgian publication, that if the chance to relocate overseas arose, his wife could be open to a "exotic adventure". However, with terms now agreed, it is about time that the playmaker leaves the Premier League.

The Manchester City midfielder said, "For Michele, an exotic adventure is OK. These are also conversations that we are increasingly having as a family. I still have one year left on my contract, so I have to think about what could happen. My eldest is now eight years old and knows nothing but England. He also asks how long I will play for City. Once the moment comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way."
