Jose Mourinho has already signed with Fenerbache as their new head coach for a two-year deal. The former Chelsea coach will be joining the Turkish club after the UEFA Euro 2024 ends. He was present in the final of the UEFA Champions League to watch his ex-team Real Madrid lift their 15th UCL trophy as they defeated Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium. He has always been known for his amazing counter-attacking tactics, along with controversial and straightforward answers in the press-conference.

The 61-year-old during his visit to Wembley gave some interviews to TNT Sports, where he talked about different matters and the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 and the Ballon d'Or predicting who is going to win the 'Golden Ball'. There he also discussed the long ongoing football debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. For almost 15 years these two footballers have been at their very best with both of them breaking each other's records and winning individual trophies.

During their prime era, no footballers have ever won a single individual accolade. They are both past their prime and have been away from Europe for nearly two years, with one playing in the Middle East and the other in Major League Soccer. Two of the most decorated footballers in the game's history are nearing the end of their careers, and supporters expect them to win a big trophy before they retire.

Mourinho drops his comment on Messi vs Ronaldo debate

Mourinho believes the Argentine playmaker is better than the Portuguese captain. The manager has coached Ronaldo during his stint at the Los Blancos club and before that, he had a tough time making his tactical decision work against the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.

He said, "Of course I would say the little guy, the little guy was not coachable, but I have to say that in our generation, he [Messi] was the best." The comment by Mourinho has re-ignited the long ongoing debate of who is the greatest footballer to ever play the game. Some fans love Messi and some Ronaldo both on and off the field have mutual respect towards each other.
