Before Man United's Europa League encounter with Bodo Glint, captain Bruno Fernandes discussed previous boss Ten Hag and said that the Dutchman is not solely to blame for the team's subpar results. Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, had his thoughts about Ten Hag, the former manager, before Ruben Amorim's second game as manager.

It will be the former Sporting manager's first home game as Manchester United take on Bodo Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday at Old Trafford. In October, when United was in 14th place in the Premier League, the Dutchman was fired as manager. Ruben Amorim, Fernandes' Portuguese countryman, has taken his position, and the team is optimistic about the future.

Erik Ten Hag's hiring was supposed to ensure that the Manchester United team was out of hiding, but the dynamic changed when the owners changed. “It is easier to get rid of a manager than 15 or 20 players, but now our focus is on what the future can bring, and to get as quick as possible on the ideas of the new manager.”

Bruno Fernandes gave some guidance to the team's younger players

After the 2023–24 season, when Ineos took over halfway through his worst managerial term, Ten Hag always appeared to be on borrowed time. Having played in the same way for the Portugal national team, Bruno Fernandes has had little trouble adjusting to Amorim's tactical scheme. Before United's Europa League home match against Bodo Glimt, he also gave some guidance to the team's younger players.

However, with his countryman at the wheel, the Portuguese has now turned the page and is only thinking about the present and future of Man United. In contrast to Ten Hag's typical 4-2-3-1 formation, Ruben Amorim has been attempting to use his 3-4-3 formation. Fernandes thinks that having "a base and a foundation" is essential for players to adjust to the new tactics, even though United appeared unsteady under them.
