Carlo Ancelotti provided insights on Kylian Mbappe following the forward's decision to leave the pitch promptly after Real Madrid's victory over Atletico. 

Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, thanks to goals from Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz. While Mbappe had a subdued performance throughout the match, his exit from the field during the full-time suggested he was not entirely satisfied with the outcome.

Real Madrid won an important fixture against City rivals, Atletico, in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 matchup at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night. Both teams delivered a thrilling performance. Real Madrid got off to a flying start with an impressive goal from Rodrygo in the opening five minutes. This early lead set the tone for the Galacticos.

Julian Alvarez struck a brilliant equalizer just before halftime, with a beautiful curler past Thibaut Courtois. However, Real Madrid regained their lead ten minutes into the second half, thanks to an exceptional goal scored by Brahim Diaz.

Carlo Ancelotti provided his insights on Kylian Mbappe following the forward's decision to leave the pitch promptly after Real Madrid's victory over Atletico Madrid.

Ancelotti stated that although Mbappe wasn't at his best, he still fulfilled his responsibilities, as playing against Atletico's formidable defence is always a challenge. 

"Mbappe wasn't at his best but he still did his job because it's not easy to play against Atletico's defence," Ancelotti said.

This performance was an unusual off night for Mbappe, who has consistently shone in a Real shirt since his free transfer in the summer. The French star has netted an impressive 28 goals in 41 appearances, including a remarkable hat-trick in the second leg of the Champions League play-off round against Manchester City last month.
