Bayern Munich extended their winning streak to the season and took the lead in the Bundesliga rankings after smashing freshly promoted Holstein Kiel 6-1. With a goal by Jamal Musiala, the third-fastest goal in Bundesliga history, Bayern seized the lead after just fifteen seconds.

Seven minutes in, Harry Kane, a former teammate of Harry Holtby of Tottenham Hotspur, increased Bayern's advantage thanks to an error made by Kiel captain Lewis Holtby. The hosts' situation worsened when Musiala capitalized on another defensive blunder to send in a cross that Nicolai Remberg ultimately converted into his own goal.

"There was a difference in class today." " It felt like they had an extra man out there, a compliment to Bayern on a great performance," Holtby said to Sky Germany after the match. Bayern Munich had a 3-0 lead after just thirteen minutes. After defeating Bayern in the German Cup second round three years prior, Kiel appeared ecstatic.

Before the half, Kane scored his second goal, and just after the hour, Michael Olise, a replacement, hammered in a rebound. The home crowd had cause for celebration after Armin Gigovic's header, but Kane's injury-time penalty gave Bayern the upper hand and sealed his hat-trick and a convincing win.

Kane had only played in 34 Bundesliga games, but already had 47 goal contributions either goals or assists before the game. In the first half, Kane scored twice, then in the ninetieth minute, he scored a penalty to complete his hat-trick.

But even before the halftime siren blew, he'd already smashed a Bundesliga record. Kane's lightning-fast pace smashed Erling Haaland's record in reaching 50 goal contributions. The ideal way to celebrate earning his 100th cap for the Three Lions, he crashed home both of England's goals in a 2-0 victory over Finland. Now Bayer Munich will start their UEFA Champions League season with GNK Dinamo Zagreb.
