Sadio Mane has been one of the finest winger of this generation. The former Liverpool star had a stellar career with the Reds, since his debut in 2016 for the club he has never turned back again. Mane has been exceptional with his dribbling, pace and ability to score goals for the side. He is often labelled as one of the best players of his generation and also the greatest African player of all time. 

The Senegalese forward joined the Reds in 2016 with a transfer fee of £34 million, making him the most expensive African player in history at that time. He formed a formidable attacking trio with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. They were called the MSR in England. He scored 90 goals for the side in 196 appearances for the club and became a legend for the club.

The 32-year-old winger qualified for back-to-back UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019 winning the second time. He also won the English Premier League the very following season in 2019/20. In the 2022 season, the forward finished 2nd in the Ballon d'Or rankings. 

Sadio Mane: More than a footballer 

Other than football Mane has been known for his off-the-field work for the needy people of his country. He donated £250,000 to build a school in his home town of Bambali, Senegal, then paid £41,000 to the national committee fighting COVID-19 in Senegal. He helped in the construction of a hospital in his hometown by providing an amount of £500,000. He also gives £100/month to each family and provides 4G internet to the village. Finally, he is also building a post office for his fellow countrymen. 

Currently, Mane is also an ambassador for Right To Play, an international non-profit organization with a mission to empower vulnerable children. He has made a collaboration with a non-profit to provide equality and empowerment to young girls and women in Senegal, raising "awareness of the importance for both girls and boys to be able to access sport and education opportunities."

Mane left Europe in 2023 after he signed for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr and has been partnering with Cristiano Ronaldo and winning trophies for the club as well.
