Currently a free agent after concluding his contract with Sevilla at the end of the 2023-24 season. Although there were whispers of a possible return to Real Madrid following Eder Militao's long-term injury, the club swiftly addressed those speculations, affirming their decision. Boca Juniors now sees this as a potential opportunity to bring Sergio Ramos into their ranks.

According to TYC Sports, there's promising news regarding the potential return of the 38-year-old defender, as Boca Juniors is reportedly planning an ambitious initiative to bring him to Argentina in January 2025. Although a formal offer hasn't been made yet, it’s noted that President Juan Roman Riquelme is poised to reach out to the player with an official proposal soon.

Should the former Madrid star decide to embrace this exciting opportunity in South America, he could participate in the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025. Boca Juniors has been placed in Group C, which includes notable teams such as Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich, Auckland City, and Benfica, setting the stage for an exhilarating competition.

Sergio Ramos started his career in the Spanish league before his pivotal signing, where he secured five La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. Additionally, he stands as the most capped player for the Spanish national team.

The Argentina giants, currently positioned sixth in their league, are set to make a strong comeback this Saturday as they face Independiente at home.
