Patrice Evra challenges Luis Suarez to a fight

Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra haven't had the best moments in history. The two rivals were involved in a racist incident back in 2011. Patrice Evra accused Luis Suarez of racial abuse. The latter faced 8 8-match suspension by the FA and a £40,000 fine for his activities. The issue further escalated when Luis Suarez refused to shake hands with Evra during a match. Evra went on to celebrate on Suarez's face after the Red Devils claimed victory later that season.

Since his retirement, Evra has explored various endeavours, including punditry, which didn't quite seem to suit the charismatic yet unpredictable Frenchman. However, it appears he has discovered a new passion, recently announcing his mixed martial arts debut with the PFL, where he has called out Suarez for a fight. The Frenchman also took a dig at Luis Suarez, asserting he would allow Suarez to bite him. He alluded to Suarez's infamous biting incident from the FIFA World Cup 2014.

"I’m officially training for my first fight with PFL Europe. They will pick my opponent... They asked who I wanna face. I said: Luis Suarez. I’ll pay out of pocket. He can even bite me." Evra said.

While Evra has hung up his boots, Luis Suarez is currently playing for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami with his long-time best friend Lionel Messi. He has netted 21 goals in 35 fixtures for the Herons in the first year of his contract
