During a training session at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was moved to tears by a teammate, who has since expressed regret over the incident.

Ronaldo had a successful six seasons at Man United after joining from Sporting CP before returning to the club in 2021. During his first spell at Old Trafford, he achieved significant success, including winning three Premier League titles and the prestigious Champions League.

Van Nistelrooy moved Ronaldo to Tears

During his time at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was under the mentorship of the renowned manager Sir Alex Ferguson and had the opportunity to play alongside some of the club's most illustrious players. One notable incident involved a training session where a heated exchange with Ruud van Nistelrooy caused Ronaldo to become emotional.

Louis Saha believes that the Dutch forward may have some regrets about his past actions. He mentioned that Ruud had a strong desire to receive all the passes, which sometimes was challenging for the manager given the development of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Saha, who joined Man United in the same summer as Ronaldo, shared that Ruud and Ronaldo disagreed. There were reports of an argument between them at a sensitive time when Cristiano’s father had passed away, which was not the right moment for such a confrontation.

Saha expressed his belief that Ruud may have regretted some of his actions and words.

"Cristiano was just an animal. I don’t know if you can say that he was a human! You could see from when he was 18 or 19 that this guy was not normal." Saha said

"These players who have all the ability recognise that it’s also about working harder than anyone - not just talent. The top seeds in tennis don’t hit the ball better or have better technique; no, they work harder than anyone, and Cristiano did that," he added
