Eric Garcia ruled out

Eric Garcia appeared to have an issue during the warm-up, forcing him to leave FC Barcelona's La Liga match against Sevilla at the very last moment. Although the 23-year-old was listed in the starting lineup, he appeared to have a groin injury prior to kickoff and was substituted out.

Garcia didn't appear at all at ease as he was seen leaving the field with Dr. Ricard Pruna. As a result, FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was forced to make a last-minute change to his team and decided to play Ansu Fati. After Frenkie de Jong experienced some difficulty during pregame training, Flick was hesitant to deploy him, and Fati was predicted to start the game and ultimately got the nod.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona defender Eric Garcia will not play against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Under Hansi Flick, Garcia moved into a midfield position. He is currently concentrating on perhaps returning for Saturday's much-anticipated El Clasico matchup versus Real Madrid inside the Santiago Bernabeu.  Although a final decision about his availability has not yet been made, FC Barcelona's medical staff is working hard on getting him fit for the game.

FC Barcelona star ruled out for clash against Bayern Munich

It should be mentioned that he had been suspended for FC Barcelona's second game against Young Boys following his dismissal in the team's opening group stage encounter against AS Monaco. His injury will now keep him out of the third game, leaving Barcelona without important options as Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, as well as Marc Bernal are also out.

Assuming Frenkie de Jong recovers from the injury that prevented him from playing in the Sevilla game, he is a strong contender to replace him. Pablo Torre, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, and even Gavi are more possible choices. Nevertheless, none of these players is fully fit for a game because they had just recovered from injuries. Given the rigorous nature of the match, Barcelona's medical staff will be required to carefully supervise their playing time.
