In the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, Team India A's wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel became Superman to take the catch of Team India B's skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran's catch. Avesh Khan bowled a wide ball outside off, and the batter went on to hit it. Unfortunately, the ball just edged the bat and went towards the first slip, however, Jurel decided to dive and took the catch while keeping the wickets. Easwaran could have avoided the shot but fell in the trap and, hence, lost his wicket and a chance to bat for a long time.
Dhruv Jurel's terrific efforts didn't go in vain, as his team got their much-needed breakthrough. Post that, the set batter Yashasvi Jaiswal also walked back to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs off 54 balls. Khaleel Ahmed's brilliant bowling skills were handy as the batter was tempted to play the short and wide outside off-ball.

Team India A won the toss and invited Team India B to bat first, giving them the chance to put up a good total on the ball. The two Khan brothers, Sarfaraz and Musheer, are on the crease, fighting to confidently survive the first session. Two more wickets will change the game's course, which Team B wouldn't want.
Ishan Kishan ruled out of first round of Duleep Trophy 2024, confirms BCCI
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have ruled out Ishan Kishan from the first round of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 game due to a groin injury. He played in the All India Buchi Babu tournament when he suffered the injury and will now miss the domestic tournament. Suryakumar Yadav is missing the tournament due to a thumb injury.
"Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy due to a groin injury sustained during the ongoing All-India Buchi Babu Tournament. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring his condition and working towards ensuring a swift recovery," read the media release from the Indian board.
