The ongoing EURO 2024 has entered into matchday 2 with England set to face Denmark in their second group game at Deutsche Bank Park. England being one of the favorites to lift the trophy is facing a dilemma over team selection.

Team Manager Gareth Southgate has been phenomenal with his squad selection but faces an unwanted question over his probable playing XI in the upcoming game. Despite winning their opening game against Serbia Southgate will need to address the debate between goal scorer Jude Bellingham and Manchester United star Phil Foden.

It’s worth noting that Foden has been phenomenal for the city recently as he scored 27 goals for the team. However, he was less attractive than Bellingham during the game against Serbia raising questions on his place in the starting XI.

During the pre-match press conference, Southgate avoided commenting on the issue making things spicier. However, Southgate is known for not revealing his cards before the game and also, he has been one of those who avoids early changes in the team.

Gareth Southgate compares Foden's case with Kieran's!

Considering his work ethic one can feel that the team might go without a change against Denmark but Southgate will surely need to improve the communication between the two youngsters. Southgate also compared Foden’s case with Kieran. Speaking with media Southgate said, "Ask anyone who plays in front of Kieran. They will tell you if he communicates and talks them through the game is an enormous help."

Meanwhile, Phil Foden also feels that he can make it working with Bellingham and do wonders for the Three Lions. However, Foden might have just one game to make his case stronger a compelling performance against Denmark might help him to stay and replicate his city performance internationally. On the other hand, Newcastle United's impressive Anthony Gordon is also in the race to take the place on the Left flank with his pace down the side.
