Manchester United have struggled with form in the 2023/24 season as they finished 8th in the league table of the English Premier League. The Red Devils have shown poor consistency in the season losing 14 games in the PL, the most in the team's history in a single season. The club also suffered from the most injuries with 45 players who have been out with some or the other problems. The club will be going through immense change in the upcoming season.

There will be a lot of players that will be in the transfer market list and a 12-member list has already been named with some of the big names to be excluded from the squad ahead of the next season. Erik ten Hag is also under immense pressure as the reports suggest that the Dutch coach will not be handling the side in the 2024/25 season. However ahead of the FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester City, the 54-year-old manager has dropped his comments over the exclusion of his.

Ten Hag believes his future with the club has been secured as the INEOS management wants to change everything under the tenure of the Dutch manager and the discussion has been going on for a long time with the coach involved in it. After finishing in the 8th position, the Red Devils side has a slim chance of European qualification next season by winning the FA Cup.

Will someone replace Ten Hag at United?

As things stand presently, ESPN, sources confirm United management is assessing several possible replacements for the Dutch coach including Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Kieran McKenna, and Thomas Frank. Sources of United have told ESPN that club chiefs will "review the season after the cup final" with "no decisions before then."

Ten Hag also addressed the unrealistic expectations placed on his team. He said, "Manchester United won the league last in 2013, 11 years ago. But still, they expect us to win every game while competing at the top. This club is not ready for that." With the transfer window opening in just a week, the changes that are named will be an interesting factor.
