England who were considered the favourites for the UEFA Euro 2024, have not performed as per the high expectations. The Three Lions have struggled to find their best form in the tournament as they won their first game with the finest margin by just one goal and in the second game they were held back by Denmark in a 1-1 draw. The fans are certainly unhappy with the way the team has been playing.

With the squad depth and qualities they have in their team, Gareth Southgate's men have not performed as a team. The bonding in the team has been missing amongst the footballers. They play Slovenia in their final group stage game on Tuesday and despite sitting on top of the table they will look to win the game. Ahead of the match midfielder Declan Rice has given his comments on the team's poor show so far in the tournament.

The Arsenal footballer believes have put too much pressure on themselves than others. The questionable displays have seen them drop from being Euro 2024 favourites as other big teams have performed brilliantly so far in the tournament. Fluidity and chemistry have led the other to gain much more success than Southgate's side.

We are all so desperate to win: Declan Rice

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder said,  "We are all so desperate to win, to be leaders, to go out there and give people memories for lifetimes and sometimes I maybe feel like we put too much pressure on ourselves where we could just go out there and let it just take care of ourselves."

"I think there is more pressure now from the outside because of the seasons some of our players have had. If you look at the goals our front four have scored this year, it’s over 100. Of course, there is expectation because they are the best players in the world. And that goes for everyone throughout the team."
