Dortmund academy star kids honours goal with Cristiano Ronaldo's Iconic 'SIUUUUU' celebration

Three of the most iconic players of the German Club, Borussia Dortmund participated in a unique celebratory match where they competed against 100 children on the pitch at Signal Iduna Park.

German Club giants, Borussia Dortmund icons Lukasz Piszczek, Jakub Blaszczykowski, and Nuri Sahin participated in a unique celebratory match, squaring off against a hundred children.

In a special tribute to former players Piszczek and Blaszczykowski, the esteemed Polish pair, collectively played over 600 games for the German club, took on numerous young players at Westfalenstadion last Saturday. Former teammate Sahin also joined in, with the presence of former coach Jurgen Klopp, who made a one-time return to the dugout, adding to the spectacle.

More than 80,000 fans witnessed the unique celebratory farewell match of the iconic Polish pair at Signal Iduna Park. The kids having scored a goal, did the iconic "SIUUUUU" celebration of Portugese Striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Return of the club's Iconic manager

Klopp's return to the dugout for the first time since leaving Liverpool to honour two of his former players, Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski, during a testimonial. He led Blaszczykowski's team for the match and also conducted a training session earlier in the week, working with some of his former players.

"It's a lifelong dream come true, I wanted to have that against. Just a few months ago, I was given an emotional farewell in Liverpool. Today it was very emotional again. " Klopp said. "Some might say that today he's like this and tomorrow he'll be like that. I explain it like this: when you have three children, you love them all. And that's the same with my three clubs. I love them all," Klopp added.

Records of the Iconic Polish Duo for Dortmund

Jakub Blaszczykowski contributed significantly during his time at Dortmund, making 197 appearances from 2007-15. As a key player on the team, he played a crucial role in their Champions League run in 2013 and scored 27 goals for the Bundesliga giants in his overall career. Additionally, he scored 21 goals in 109 appearances for the Polish national team.

Lukasz Piszczek, who played for the Bundesliga giants from 2010 to 2021, made substantial contributions as a highly accomplished defender for the club. In his 264 appearances, he managed to net 16 goals and was an integral part of the Polish Defensive line. His 66 appearances for the National Team also showcased his dedication, during which he also scored 03 goals.
