Real Madrid leading race to sign Argentina wonderkid in 2024/25 season

Real Madrid have been the champions of La Liga 2023/24. The Los Blancos won their 36th title after winning the current season. They are also competing in the UEFA Champions League as they have drawn the first leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Carlo Ancelotti's side once again showed the best intent to win the league and in UCL they are yet again the favourites to acquire their 15th trophy.   

The Spanish Giants are already up in the transfer market for the squad building for the next season. Madrid has already initiated discussions with River Plate for signing, the 16-year-old midfielder named Franco Mastantuono. Mastantuono's release clause is €45 million (£39 million/$49 million), which will set to increase to €50 million (£43 million/$54 million) in the final ten days of the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Mastantuono has established himself as one of his country's coveted young talents. Argentina has produced some popular possibilities, including Claudio Echeverri, who has already agreed to join Manchester City. His River Plate teammate has also risen to his best in recent months. The midfielder was targeted by FC Barcelona, but the arch-rivals are leading the race to sign the footballer. The Argentine wonderkid has scored two goals in just 11 appearances for the side. 

Mbappe and Davies set to join Real Madrid?

The 16-year-old footballer and prefers to land at Santiago Bernabeu despite interest from the other side of Spain. Madrid are in terms of negotiating to figure down the release clause of the footballer. The transfer will be an interesting watch to look for as there is a fight between the two Spanish Giants.

They will try to replicate the "Endrick formula" to sign Franco Mastantuono from River Plate, having secured Endrick's services using a similar strategy. Los Blancos have another name on their list as they want to sign Alphonso Davies from Munich and Kylian Mbappe is also on the list with the latter is more closer to joining the side, irrespective of what happened in the previous season, between the two.
