Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the greatest footballer of this generation. The Portuguese superstar has been amazing throughout his prolonged career, as he continues to impress the world football fans with his prolific goalscoring ability. The 39-year-old footballer was recently named in the squad of Portugal that is set to play in the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024, in GermanyAs the marquee tournament comes near the forward yet again stepped up for his club. 

On Monday, he yet again made a record, as after scoring his 35th goal of the season for Al Nassr, in the Saudi Pro League. He is the first player to score 35 goals in a season, breaking the previous record of Abderrazak Hamdallah who previously scored 34 in the 2018/19 season. CR7 currently has a career goal of 893 and he sets another record of becoming the first player to ever become the top scorer in four different leagues, (Spain, England, Italy, and Saudi Arabia). 

The striker scored a brace on Monday, scoring his first goal right ahead before the first half ended. Then converted the second as he met with the corner of Marcelo Brozovic in the 69th minute of the game. He had a sensational season in Saudi as he netted four hat-tricks.

Ronaldo and nack of scoring goals continue

Ronaldo after achieving the new milestone, dropped a comment on social media stating, "don’t follow the records, the records follow me.This is not the first instance that the famous footballer has broken some records, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player also scored 50 goals in as many games for Al-Nassr during the 2023-24 season. The squad also made the 100-goal milestone in the league for the first time in their history.

The game was a six-goal thriller as Al Ittihad made it 3-2 in the dying minutes of the game. However a final-minute goal by Meshari Al-Nemer secured a two-goal lead making it 4-2. The Portugal captain will be back in action for his nation in Germany as this might be his last tournament for his country.
