At the age of 39, most soccer players decide to retire, but not if the person is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar continues to defy expectations and pursue excellence with unwavering determination. His exceptional fitness and unwavering mindset have propelled him to unprecedented success.

Ronaldo's Shocking Revelation

Following Al Nassr’s 2-1 victory over Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League Matchday 2 of the group stages, Ronaldo made a revelation that nobody wants to hear.

During the press conference, addressing his and the team’s performance, the topic of Ronaldo's future arose. Rather than hesitating, he responded confidently, which may not align with the expectations of devoted fans.

“I'm just enjoying playing football now as I know I don't have much time left on the pitch”. Ronaldo said

“It is not important to me now to be the best player or to win awards. What is important to me now is to enjoy and help my team”- he added.

It's a sobering reality as the 39-year-old acknowledges that his playing days are numbered. The exact timing of his retirement remains uncertain, posing a question with no easy answer.

Former footballer Eden Hazard once confidently claimed that Ronaldo would continue scoring goals until he turned 50. However, an earlier revelation from Cristiano’s beloved girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, contradicts these claims.

When the Argentine-Spanish model was asked to estimate Ronaldo’s retirement, she firmly stated that she expected Ronaldo to retire in the coming two years.

The 5x Ballon d’Or winner’s former gaffer, Sir Alex Ferguson, previously made a shocking revelation saying that he didn't see Ronaldo playing in the 2026 World Cup for Portugal and expected his former student to hang up his boots before the marquee tournament.
