After reaching the landmark of a billion followers on social media, Cristiano Ronaldo is rejoicing. Ronaldo, who has won the coveted Ballon d'Or five times, is regarded by many to be one of the best football players in history. In addition to his 170 million Facebook fans, he has over 600 million Instagram followers, over 100 million X (previously Twitter) followers, and 60 million YouTube subscribers.

Owing to his bizarre on-field antics, the Portuguese legend has amassed a sizable fan base on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms. Ronaldo is now expressing gratitude to his supporters for supporting him along the way as he keeps creating history on as well as off the pitch.

He wrote in a post which was shared across all social media platforms that, “We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.

The former Real Madrid superstar added, “From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together. You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.”

The Portugal national team skipper ended by saying that, “Thank you for believing in me, for your support, and for being part of my life. The best is yet to come, and we’ll keep pushing, winning, and making history together.”

Cristiano Ronaldo keeps breaking records as they come

During Portugal’s 2-0 win against Croatia last week in the UEFA Nations League, Cristiano Ronaldo notched up his 900th career goal as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo said, “It was emotional because it’s a milestone. It seems like any other milestone but only I know, and the people around me, how hard it is to work every day, to be physically and psychologically fit, to score 900 goals. It’s a unique milestone in my career,”
