Ben Chilwell is reportedly exploring an opportunity to revitalize his career away from Chelsea. After being placed in the squad by manager Enzo Maresca, Chilwell has had limited playing time this season, featuring in just one League Cup match.

However, Crystal Palace is showing interest in bringing the 28-year-old on loan, potentially offering him a valuable chance to regain his form and contribute on the pitch.

Discussions are actively taking place between the player and the clubs involved. For the transfer to materialize, Chelsea would need to cover a part of his £190,000-a-week wages. A transition to South London seems mutually beneficial for both Chilwell and Crystal Palace.

Chilwell have consistently performed at his best while playing as a wing-back for Chelsea, which contributed to his regular selection for England's national team and his achievement of winning the Champions League.

Oliver Glasner implements a strong system at Selhurst Park, and the former Leicester star is poised to become a key asset as Palace aggressively targets a position in the top half of the table. Maresca has openly acknowledged his shame regarding the treatment of Chilwell this season.

"Because players want to play more so there's probably chances for them to leave," Maresca said. "But Ben has been top. I have to say that, he has been top. Very professional, works hard. I feel shame because of that situation but in terms of behaviour, he has been very good," he added.

Ben Chilwell joined the club from Leicester in 2020 for approximately £45 million and has made 107 appearances, despite facing several injury niggles.

Meanwhile, there are discussions surrounding Axel Disasi's future at the club, as he may also be on the move before Monday's transfer deadline. Reports suggest that he may not be part of Maresca’s plans moving forward.
