On Wednesday they will be facing Brighton and Hove Albion away from home, the seagulls have been in poor form in the league. Chelsea's struggle continues
Other than the injuries the club has been facing financial struggles to meet Premier League expenditure limits and European football. Since the arrival of their new investor Todd Boehly, they have spent €1.1 billion on transfer fees since summer 2022. But the result has not been in their favour. The players the management signed did not turn up on the occasions creating the failure for the club.
There will be a lot of outgoings in the next season, and a possible change in the coaching as well, with a possible review of the season will take place for a final decision. The Argentine coach might be making his way out of the club, and there has been a list of coaches shortlisted by the club hierarchy to replace him in the 2024/25 season.
