According to reports, Chelsea FC has made a sizable offer to reunite with one of their former managers and it's neither Thomas Tuchel or Jose Mourinho. As the season draws to a close, the Blues are being associated along with several possible new managers, some of whom have already worked for the team.

Antonio Conte is one of them; he had both good and bad times while playing for the team and didn't exactly part ways amicably. However, Chelsea is now owned by a different company and there is no clarity if the new owners actually want Conte back. The main question is : Has enough animosity between them been resolved for Conte to be warmly welcomed back to Chelsea?

According to reports, Chelsea has made Conte a sizable offer in an attempt to persuade him to take over for Mauricio Pochettino should the latter be fired at the end of the current campaign.

According to La Repubblica, Chelsea has been in frequent communication with Conte in recent days and is genuinely interested in convincing him to return to the west side of London for a second stint. Though it's impossible to say never, Chelsea would be crazy to pursue this path and would be in serious trouble, however, the story appears really fantastical as of now.

Chelsea looking to sack yet another manager?

Before the match on April 23 against London rivals Arsenal, Pochettino was under pressure, but Chelsea were determined to continue with him. The fact that the Blues had advanced through both the League Cup final along with the FA Cup semi finals gave them hope that he might be able to turn things around the next season.

But all that was altered by Mikel Arteta's team's merciless 5-0 hammering. It proved once more how far Chelsea is from contending with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool for Premier League crowns in the future. Chelsea believes there are other excellent managers who could help expedite the club's ambitions. But they are hesitant to fire another coach and have to begin a new managerial period.
