Bastian Schweinsteiger was one of the finest midfielder of the generation. The German was a box-to-box operator in the field and had a great vision of play. The former Manchester United footballer has been underrated and overshadowed while competing with some of the other greatest of his generation. However, he has been a legend in German football, spending most of his career time with Bayern Munich and also won the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
Schweinsteiger spent 17 seasons with the Bavarians playing more than 500 games for the club across all competitions and also the fourth-most-capped player of all time for the German national team. After leaving the German club he came to join the Red Devils in England and could only appear in 18 games for the club in two seasons of his career. After the arrival of Jose Mourinho to the club he was demoted and sent to training with the under-23 team.
The 39-year-old in a talk show named 'The Overlap' hosted by SkySports has revealed shocking facts about his former coach. He was in talks with Gary Neville who was the host of the show and the latter questioned him what happened after Mourinho entered the dressing room. The midfield maestro replied that football director John Murtough said that the coach had ordered him not to enter the dressing room.

I then had a meeting with him: Bastian Schweinsteiger
The German thought first thought it was a prank or joke that they were playing against him. But the decision was serious and Neville was shocked hearing the treatment that he got at such a big club like United and was even "embarrassed" by the revelation and claiming the way Schweinsteiger was treated was "illegal."
He further said, "I then had a meeting with him [José Mourinho] in the afternoon. He explained to me that he didn’t see me happy here at United because when I had my injury, I did my rehab with German doctors, spending time in Germany."
