Barcelona has officially announced an exciting collaboration with Coldplay, featuring the band's logo prominently displayed on the men's team jersey for the upcoming Clásico against Real Madrid on October 26. This initiative is part of an ongoing sponsorship with Spotify.

Additionally, Coldplay will also be featured on the women's jersey during the Liga F match against Eibar on November 2, celebrating the fusion of sports and music in a creative way.

Barcelona and Coldplay's Collaboration

Spotify, Barça, and Coldplay are launching a limited-edition lifestyle collection of merchandise that includes T-shirts, hoodies, and scarves. This exclusive collaboration will showcase Coldplay as the fifth artist to design a unique one-off shirt for Barça, joining the ranks of renowned acts like Drake, Rosalía, Karol G, and The Rolling Stones.

The logo, a striking series of moons inspired by the group’s new album "Moon Music," is set to take center stage on Barça's shirts, replacing the Spotify branding.

Coldplay holds a prominent position in Barça's recent history, with Pep Guardiola famously choosing the band's "Viva la Vida" as the powerful soundtrack for a motivational video played to the players before their triumphant 2009 Champions League final against Man United.

The track has become increasingly meaningful to supporters, highlighting the strong connection between Coldplay and the club. Members of the band have even participated in training sessions at the club's Sant Joan Despí facility.

In 2023, Coldplay further solidified their bond with the community by performing a series of sold-out concerts at the Olympic Stadium in the city. This venue later served as a temporary home for Barça while Camp Nou underwent redevelopment.

Barcelona hopes Coldplay brings Good luck

As Barça prepares for their upcoming match against Madrid, they will be optimistic that their shared history with Coldplay will bring them some positive energy. Their first collaboration, featuring Canadian rapper Drake, coincided with a Clásico loss to Los Blancos in October 2022, but the team remains hopeful for a better outcome this time around.
