Arsenal's top targets in upcoming 2024/25 transfer window

Arsenal have been one of the title contenders for the current English Premier League (EPL) season. The Gunners have performed superbly in the last two seasons, but they failed to win the trophy in the last season as they collapsed in the last few games of the league, leading Manchester City to win the league. In the ongoing season, they have been exceptional and have scored the most goals. Mikel Arteta’s side have drawn their last game against City, and they have dropped two points from league leaders Liverpool, but they surely are still in the title race with nine games to spare.

Although they have good attacking stars like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus, the club has already started preparing for the upcoming season. The north London side spent huge money during the 2023 summer transfer window. They got some good deals with players like Leandro Trossard, Declan Rice, and Jorginho, who made strong midfield and attacking forces. They will now look to add some more firepower to the squad for the 2024–25 season. 

Rice was the big buy for the side 105 million euros was spent for the English defensive midfielder and he has been the clutch for the side as Arteta’s style of play suits the Englishman. After the quiet winter window, they are looking to spend their money in the summer window. 

Here are the transfer targets for Arsenal for the 2024–25 season.

Ivan Toney

He has been one of the main targets for the Gunners. The Brentford striker gave a clear indication to his friends that he would much rather make a move to Arsenal than any other club. The club would like to bid for the young forward in the upcoming months. Toney has been brilliant for the Bees, as he was the top scorer last season with 21 goals, and this season he has scored 4 in 11 games. 

Viktor Gyokeres

The Sporting Lisbon striker has been in exceptional form in the current season. The 25-year-old forward has 36 goals and 14 assists in 39 games in which he has participated this season across all competitions. He is the latest addition on the transfer list of the Gunners and might be a very good choice for the side with the ability he has shown.

Marc Guehi

Guehi is another name on the list for the club. The Crystal Palace center back has been one of the main interests for Arteta in the upcoming season, and the North London side might have to go on a race with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City to get the player. Arteta believes that having the young Palace captain will give them that extra bit of leadership quality in the defense. 

Douglas Luiz 

The Brazilian midfielder has been superb with Aston Villa; he has been linked with moving to the Emirates for over a year now. He was the main target in the 2022 season for the Gunners; however, despite several bids, he chose to stay at Villa Park. He has turned into an exceptional game maker under Unai Emery, and he can add more to the Arteta with the quality he possesses. 

Jorrel Hato 

The 17-year-old has already gotten the taste of the captaincy of his boyhood club, Ajax FC, and has been a first choice for the club. He has been one of the rare lights for the team despite the club’s poor performance in the ongoing season. As per the Telegraph, the north London side is preparing a bid for the young left-back for the next season.
