In response to rumours that he may be playing football in Saudi Arabia, Italy, or Spain, Thomas Partey has shared his thoughts. In yesterday's 2-0 victory over Luton Town, the Ghanaian international earned his first competitive start for Arsenal in the English Premier League since August.

After the match, he spoke with football.london to clarify that, in spite of the rumours, he is happy to stay in North London and views Arsenal as his only option for the time being.

He said: “My head is always here. This is where I choose to play, I'm really happy every time I'm on the field. I know a lot of speculations have been going on, but for me, I'm really happy to be here and to continue playing for this club.”

This season, Declan Rice has undoubtedly established himself as the starting midfielder, while Jorginho's play has also elevated him over Partey, particularly in crucial games. Any decisions the club makes regarding his future may be influenced by how he does in these last games.

Due to his ongoing injury issues, there are concerns over whether the 30-year-old should be replaced with one year left in the season. The excitement over the midfield summer acquisition has only grown due to connections to players like Douglas Luiz, Joshua Kimmich, and Martin Zubimendi. Only time will tell whether Arsenal decide to sell or keep the defensive midfielder ahead of the next season.

“I have to do my best” : Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey

After a brilliant game at Luton Town, the midfielder was asked about his future. There are rumours about contract talks between the two parties and the fans have been eager to know more about the deal whether it is taking place or not.

The Arsenal midfielder said, “Well, I still have to the end of the season, I think. I have to do my best and try to perform at the highest level and I think the most important is to be available every time.”
