Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made a special request to fans for his players after defeat against Bayern Munich in UCL

Arsenal UEFA Champions League season came to an end after Joshua Kimmich scored a goal in the second half and won the match by 1-0. Overall, on aggregate, Bayern Munich defeated Arsenal 3-2 as they are going ahead in the semi-final of the Champions League. Mikel Arteta says he needs to show his Arsenal teammates "support and love" after Bayern Munich eliminated them from the Champions League.

In the following against Bayern Munich, the turning movement came in the 63rd minute of the game when Raphael Gurrerior’s accurate cross came in and Joshua Kimmich scored a header to put the ball in the net. This goal was not only Joshua Kimmich's effort but also showed Bayern Munich's teamwork and master plan by coach Thomas Tuchel. 

Arsenal's excellent efforts were in vain as Bayern Munich's experienced goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at the goalpost showed his efforts and didn’t let the goal into the goalpost. The setback was especially disappointing for Arsenal, as it highlighted the team's struggles in converting possession into scoring opportunities, particularly in important second-half moments this season.

Arsenal were aiming for their first Champions League semi-final since 2009, and Arteta admitted his club was inexperienced at this level of the campaign. This was their first quarterfinal participation since 2010.

Before the second leg took place Bayern Munich visited London for the first leg as scores were tie in the first leg. Meanwhile, it was Arsenal's second back-to-back loss as they lost to Aston Villa by 2-0 in the Premier League which cost them to losing the tight race between Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.

Arsenal aim to win Premier League title

According to BBC Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stated that, "I wish I had the right words to say to the players to make them feel better. What I am going to do - and all the coaching staff too - is to be close to the players." "I feel so grateful to be the coach and to work with them every single day."

Arsenal's next challenge in the Premier League is against Wolves on Saturday. If they want to win the Premier League title after 2003/04, they must have to look at Manchester City to lose points in the table.
