XDefiant (Source - Ubisoft)
XDefiant is one of the most anticipated multiplayer games releasing in May with the potential to become an esports title. As per the reveal, the game will also come with a lot of content, followed by the first seasonal patch adding even more.
However, all this anticipation will be for nothing if your PC is not able to run the game. Luckily, online multiplayer games do not require much to run. The game is available for pre-load and those who haven’t done it can follow this guide, in the meantime, let’s check out the requirements to run XDefiant and try to guess what kind of experience you will have playing.
Minimum
The minimum specs as per Ubisoft dictate the requirement for a 1050ti graphics card or either RX 5500XT or Arc A380 paired with 8GB RAM and 3rd generation Ryzen 3 or 10th gen Intel i3 processor, which is very decent considering the game is releasing in 2024.
Most of the players have already been forced to upgrade due to recent releases, but even players stuck with older hardware like this should be able to enjoy the game. The game will reportedly run at 1080p 60fps with these specs, but the benchmarks will only be available after release.
Recommended
The recommended specs keep the processor requirement the same but increase the GPU to GTX 1060 or Arc A750. AMD users will need to have the 8GB variant of RX 5500XT. The RAM requirement also doubled to 16GB.
While the game will supposedly run at 1080p 60fps on minimum hardware, having the recommended will likely solidify any hitches that may occur and provide a stable experience, which may not be possible in minimum specs entirely while boosting fps beyond 60 which is important in multiplayer games.
Sky’s the limit
Beyond the minimum and recommended specs, players will likely need not worry about any performance issues. Players who plan to enjoy the game in 1440p will need a little upgrade to the processor and GPU. The CPU is recommended Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 from the same generation. In fact, even the 4k requirement for the processor stops at either 10th-gen Intel or 3rd-gen AMD Ryzen processors.
The only substantial change is in the GPU, which jumps to RTX 2070 for 1440p and RTX 3080 for 4k. On the AMD side, RX 5600XT or RX 6800XT are required for 1440p and 4k gaming.
