XDefiant is all set to release on May 21 and a few days ahead of which Ubisoft have now opened up preload for the game. Players can now download the game early and jump right into the action with release, instead of waiting for the game to download on release day.

Advertisment

The official announcement for preload was done through their official account on X. This is a great option for people with a slower internet connection or limited bandwidth as they will also be able to play with or without friends on release. The process for downloading the game is also not rocket science as it only requires just a few clicks, and you are on your installation screen.

Here’s how you can get the game in your library and install -

First thing first, visit the official page for Ubisoft XDefiant. In the centre and top-right corner, there is a “Pre-Load Now” button that will take you to the landing page for both Consoles and PCs.

From there, selecting PC will open a popup asking to open the game on the Ubisoft Connect app, which is mandatory to install and play the game. Install Ubisoft Connect and log in or create your account. This will add the game to your library.

From here on, the installation is similar to any other software. Select the language for the game and your location. There will also be a terms and conditions section. Agree to continue. Select the installation location, by default, it will be in C drive. Once done, the download will start. For PC, the download size is 30.76GB, but players will need at least 33 GB of free space on the disk.

XDefiant will launch with a pre-season, meaning players who haven’t had the chance to play the game during betas will have a chance to try out everything before the first season starts. This will help them prepare for the rank grind.
