NiY player get banned mid-game, org releases statement
Bans in BGMI are nothing new, many players who dream of getting in higher competitive ranks sometimes opt for cheating and face appropriate punishment. However, for the first time at BMPS, a professional player for NiY Esports was banned live during a fight against Team INS in the final match of Red Group 4.
While there has been multiple instances of teams being banned during a tournament, a prime example being the BGIS 2024. These bans usually come after matches. This is the first time a player was banned during an invitational tournament.

Following the uproar, NiY Esports have come out to clear their name and the team claimed that it was someone else who did a slot scam. The update was given through an Instagram status, and the org also claimed that the haters are taking advantage of the situation to defame them.

With this new revelation, the situation has now become very complex. There are several questions arising from many sides but no explanation as even Krafton has not put out a statement yet. Since the tournament qualifiers are being played online it is possible that the players could have used fake identity to play in the tournament which is also a bannable offence.
This is not the first time NiY’s name has come under fire, as a few months back, the team was criticized for something similar. A player, named NiY Scorpion, was banned during the Upthrust Esports Scrims. The ban report clearly stated that the Scorpion was handed a 10-year ban due to cheating.
Watching this unfold have left people dazed and even called out for a complete exclusion of the team from upcoming events. But, this isn’t how things work. While the team might get banned for that particular tournament, other innocent players cannot simply be prevented from participating in other tournaments.
However, with multiple bans occurring in a single team, it is high time NiY Esports start taking things seriously as incidents like these can reflect badly on the entire team.
