Days head for one of the most anticipated BGMI tournament, Krafton India have now given fans all they need to know about the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024. This includes the entire schedule for the next two months of actions, alongside the format in which teams will be distributed and compete for Rs 2 crore prize pool.

BMPS 2024 will commence on August 20 and will be featuring 128 teams including some of the most popular BGMI teams will be competing across the board. Following some of the most intense games running for over a month, 16 teams will finally secure a spot in the grand finals running from September 27 to September 29.

BMPS 2024 Format Explained

League Stage

The third iteration of BMPS will see 128 teams start in the League Stage from August 20. League Stage will be divided into three parts, Round 1 where all the team will compete across 16 match-days. These 128 teams will be divided into two groups (Red and Blue) of 64 teams, each with their own sub distribution. Both Red and Blue groups will see four subgroups featuring 16 teams each. These teams will also see a reshuffle to give everyone a fair chance.

Out of the 128 teams in Round 1, only 64 will move to League Stage Round 2 running from September 7th to 10th. From here on, the matches will be more streamlined. Featuring four groups of 16 teams each, Round 2 will see 48 teams move to Round 3 for one final push to the semi-finals. Three groups of 16 teams each will compete across 8 matches each across September 11th to 14th, and only the top 24 will be moving forward.

Semi-Finals

With the tournament reaching endgame, the remaining teams will also have to work even harder to survive in the competitive environment. The 24 remaining teams will see themselves into three groups of eight in a Double Round-robin format, with each team playing 16 matches across four days. The top 16 teams move to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals

The Grand Finals are straightforward. Set to take place on LAN, the Grand Finals will see the top 16 BGMI teams compete across three days from September 27 to 29. After a total of 18 matches, the champions of BMPS 2024 will be revealed.
