Voice actor behind Half Life’s G-Man posted first time in four years

Following speculation regarding Half Life 3 announcement, the voice actor behind G-Man has finally posted for the first time in almost four years.

The voice actor behind one of the most iconic characters in video game history, G-Man from Valve’s Half Life, brought to life by ‘Mike Shapiro’, has been spotted on X (Twitter) four years after his last post. With the current turmoil in the community regarding the possible reveal of Half Life 3 in 2025, Shapiro’s post left people in shock.

While it was a simple greeting for New Year, there were some statements that have people confused as well as excited. “Another year already. Good to see and hear from so many of you. May the next quarter-century deliver as many unexpected surprises… as did the millennium’s first. And again, time is fluid, like music. See you… in the new year,” G-Man said.

That’s it, is he talking about going dark again and coming back in 2026, or will there be some news regarding Half Life 3 later this year, no one knows as Nothing Ever Happens. First post in almost four years, only to leave people wanting more.

The added hashtags for Valve, HalfLife, GMan and 2025 were the cherry on top. In a past interview with Vice, when asked about Half Life 3, Shapiro said, “There is a long story here. There’s a long game that G-Man is playing. I’ll say that.”

A clash between GTA 6 and Half life 3?

If there is any game that can match the current hype for GTA 6, it’s Half Life 3 and recent findings are giving people a much more compelling reason to believe. First we had data miners revealed mentions of HLX, new assets and a lot of other things. There is a good possibility that the gaming community might get trolled again.

Most recently, Valve concluded Team Fortress 2 comic with the final instalment, and many believe there were also Easter Eggs regarding the game. One of our previous report mentioned rumours of Valve starting playtest for Half Life 3 and if all goes well, something may happen this year and two decade old wait may finally end.
