Steam Autumn Sale now starts two months earlier

People who keep track of major Steam sales will probably notice that the timing of the Autumn Sale is a bit odd. That is because it was usually held in November; however, this was the most optimal timing, as less than a month later, gamers would see the Steam Winter Sale.

Having two major sales within 30 days of each other may sound great if people miss one, but there’s a lot to go on. Firstly, game publishers would likely offer the same sale discount if they take park across both sales. Second, making the sales a bit apart would give people an incentive to buy video games on different occasions, as between the two, people would likely choose the Winter Sale due to the holiday season.
