Valorant community is divided over new agent ‘Tejo’ and his abilities

The latest season for Valorant introduced like a new agent ‘Tejo’ as an Initiator and while the community is excited, there are some concerns regarding his ability kit. A new agent is usually the buzz of the season but his ability demos reveal that Tejo is too powerful. Naturally, some are loving it while others calling out Riot Games.

A video showing abilities of the new agent is going viral as Tejo can do a lot of things. His basic ability on ‘C’ allows him to drop an invisible drone that can expose any player caught in it's blast radius making him much more effective than KAY-O. The ‘Q’ ability concusses opponents.

Tejo’s Signature ability on ‘E’ will call an air strike in a small area to damage opponents. This reminded players of Brimstone’s ultimate but on a smaller scale. As for his ultimate, ‘X’, players can drop a carpet of bombs similar to Breach’s ultimate, however, Tejo will eliminate anyone caught in its tracks.

Fans argue over Tejo and his abilities

As seen above, Tejo is a mixed bag and faces similar reactions with many calling the character un-inspired and just a copycat of mixing various other characters. “Riot is running out of ideas,” one user said. Another user called the character broken and urged for changes before the community faced the issue of another broken agent. On the flip side, some are ready to main the new character from Day 1.

This won’t be the first time players have urged for something in advance. Since Valorant was released, there have been several nerfs and buffs to agent abilities. These usually come after the agent is reported to be too weak or too strong. There is a high possibility that players will see a quick nerf to the character very soon.
