LEGO James Bond was once real
The LEGO franchise has deeply rooted themselves in video games. There’s LEGO Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and most recently, Horizon. A new leak reveals that there was even a plan for a LEGO James Bond game, which never saw the light of the day, and a trailer for that is now going viral across social media.
The trailer itself seems incomplete and is seemingly made to get a green light and start working on the project. It featured several action aspects from the movie including high speed chase combat, sci-fi gadgets and more.
LEGO already have a huge catalogue of video games from a popular franchise and have even made appearances across several games as DLCs. All it was missing was some spy action, which fans now believe James Bond could have filled.

LEGO James Bond was set to be a standalone game.
The game was reportedly being developed by TT Games, the same company who worked on most other games in the series. Sadly, the project was scrapped, reportedly due to LEGO Dimensions being cancelled, and the series did not fit the franchise as LEGO usually focus on family friendly content as James Bond doesn’t quite hit the spot.
With the LEGO James Bond failing to make it as a standalone game in the series, many fans expressed their disappointment, with many believing it's time to start a petition to get things going.
“This would've been so cool, shame it never happened,” one person said, while another said, “I don't play many LEGO video games other than Star Wars, but the Bond franchise would've been a lot of nostalgic fun.” However, it is likely fans will not get anything related to James Bond, at least for some time, due to its mature theme.
