The Ganesh Chaturthi is in full swing with people across states celebrating the birthday of Lord Ganesh. These celebrations will continue till Visarjan on September 17. For gamers, however, this is a great opportunity to celebrate the festival dedicated to Lord Ganesh by experiencing some video games with his depiction while having fun.

The developers recently released Smite 2 which is in early access, but will go free to play on full release.

When will India make a game based completely on the culture and mythology?

While the world is making games based on their mythology. The most recent example is Black Myth Wukong based on Chinese Mythology. However, people in India haven’t had a chance to experience a true AAA title or anything on a similar scale based on their gods.

That isn’t to say there won’t be one every, but it will take some time. The government itself have seemingly been motivated to expand on the Indian culture in video games to promote the culture of the country. The upcoming Waves 2025 in which ESFI is taking part seems like a great start, but we will have to wait and see.
