Team Vitality eliminated from COD Mobile Summer Invitational 2024

Following Godlike, Team Vitality is now also returning home from the COD Mobile Summer Invitational 2024. This comes as their second loss in the Knockout Stage against Wolves Esports in the lower bracket after a crushing defeat against XROCK in the upper bracket. With this loss, the team ends their journey in the 5th-6th spot.

Unlike their previous loss, the team did manage to put up a fight this time. Starting out with two back-to-back losses in hard points on Hackney Yard and search & destroy on Express, the team managed to equalize the score in the following rounds.

Securing control on Arsenal and hardpoint on the summit, the score was now back to equal, with Team Vitality having a great chance to make a comeback. Sadly, the following two matches also resulted in a loss for them and ended their run at the tournament.

On the other side, Stalwart Esports also faced another loss at the hands of Elevate, who previously defeated GodLike Esports. The team will now face Wolves Esports In the lower bracket semifinals, while Qing Jiu Club will match with XROCK in the upper bracket final.

GodLike and Team Vitality need to step up

The tournament was something of a warm-up before the upcoming COD Mobile World Championship 2024.  Team Vitality and Godlike Esports need to do much better if they plan to recreate the success from the previous year and go beyond that.

There is no doubt that both teams are some of the best COD Mobile teams across the globe. The 2023 Championship saw them secure a second spot, while Team Vitality saw a change of pace in the SPS Season 5 with a recent roster swap and took down GodLike Esports.

The global championship is set to commence in October, and a majority of the current teams will be back in action. However, matchups and format have yet to be revealed.
