Team SouL now decorates their collection with another trophy after securing the OneGame BGMI Pro Championship season 1. After an intense six-day tournament, the team managed to secure three chicken dinners and multiple top 5 finishes.
Slow start for SouL
As usual, SouL had a slow start in the first two days. However, the say-day-long tournament gave them plenty of time to assess the situation and opponents and come back stronger. By the third day, the team was catching up with multiple double-digit finishes that helped them secure the championship and Rs 4 lakh from the prize pool.
GodLike Esports and Entity also came very close and ended up in the second and third spots. Perhaps, the worst fate came to Marcos Gaming, who shocked everyone with their Day 1 performance by securing three chicken dinners on the first day itself.
Three is the total number of wins SouL roped in during the entire six-day run. Unfortunately, everything came falling down for Marcos as the team struggled to secure over 20 points after the entirety of each day, leaving them in the dust.
Maxx gives up at the end
WindGod Esports, who secured the sixth spot, saw Maxx going down without a fight through self-nade after assessing the situation. The endgame saw three teams, SouL, GodLike and WindGod. Maxx was likely banking on a favourable outcome in a fight between GodLike and SouL.
However, GodLike went down pretty quickly without even denting SouL which created a 1v3 situation for Maxx from which it was almost impossible to come out on top. Maxx decided to cook a grenade and end the match then and there.
Although, WindGod Esports was quite close to securing the fifth spot and even if the fight had been disadvantageous, it was worth a try. Who know if somehow Maxx managed to take down SouL and secure the fifth spot, taking over Hydra.
