Sixteen players get ready for upcoming EA Sports FC Group Stages at Esports World Cup

The FC Esports World Cup is all set to feature sixteen of the best FC players across the world pitted against each other for a $1 million prize pool starting August 15.

The Esports World Cup is set to conclude this month and the remaining tournaments are set to take place soon. This includes EA Sports FC event, one of the most anticipated tournament featuring a prize pool of $1 million.

Sixteen of the best FC pros that proved themselves across various events and have secured their spot and will be seen competing in the first ever FC Esports World Cup. While the players and format is announced, detailed match-ups are yet to be revealed.

Format

These 16 players are divided into two groups, with each group containing eight players. The Group Stage matches will run across three days starting August 15. By the end, top three players from each group will move towards Playoffs while players in 4th to 6th spot will move to Resurrection Stage. Rest are eliminated.

The Resurrection Stage will take place on the same day as the Group Stage conclusion, where the six players (3 from each group) will compete in a round-robin format. Out of these six, two will make their way into the Playoffs.

With eight players making their way into the Playoffs, the finals will be taking place on August 18. Playoffs will feature a Single Elimination Bracket, with one mistake sending the player home. The winner of the tournament will be taking home $300,000 grand prize.
