Call of Duty Warzone (Source: Google)
Season 3 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 brought a lot of content alongside weapon balance and progression changes. However, one thing in particular has turned into a debate topic among the CoD community.
The progress changes include an increase in experience that depends on the player's party size. XP is what players require to level up and unlock various new things inside the game. Having more players in the part before starting the game now gives a large boost to the experience gain.
Two players in a team will give both of them a +25% increased rank and weapon experience. Having a third player in the team will add the 25% gain to the battle pass experience too. Finally, with 4 or more players +30% to all the three areas for quick rank ups.
Players argue benefits and disadvantage
Players who jump into the game with their friends benefit a lot from this boost. They can access new items and perks quickly, while also levelling up battle pass for rewards.
Many see this as a bonus while having fun with friends. Furthermore, people playing in parties usually have better coordination and a better chance to win a game.
However, this move of increased XP gain with a team does not sit well with solo players. Not only they are getting XP slower, people with no friends will also be forced to team up with a random player. Considering how toxic CoD games can get, some are calling it a bad move.
Some are also arguing that the company is trying to sell more cosmetics, thinking others will do the same by watching their teammates. On the other hand, it could just also be a move to help players interact with each other or make friends.
Regardless of the motivation, the majority of the CoD community seems to be enjoying the party XP buff. As for players left behind, it does suck to progress slower because of a forced change.
